Intro: What do you think will happen to the earth in the next 30 years?

Total Destruction?

What do we know of the day Jesus returns?

How many needed to replenish earth?

Flood almost wiped-out man.

Q Why did God do this?

(Erasing a mistake- our mistake not Gods)

Start with the “best stock”.

Remove the bad environment.

Gen 8:20 What did Noah do after the flood? (Worship?)

Noah Sins (drunkenness) 9 20:27.

Promise of Savior Gen: 3:15; Gen 9:26

Sin and Rebellion to God’s rule return

Tower of Babel a symbol of man’s independence of God. Gen 11: 1-9

Q God Intervenes. Why?

(Sometimes stops us when we get cocky too)

Abram (Abraham) gets new promise Gen 12:2

God tells him to leave family and country (get away from temptation) and inherit land of Canaan (Israel).

Q Why?

Special intensive training.

Separate form sinful surroundings

Abraham obeys.
